2. Service Description
PitchBattle provides a web-based platform for running interactive pitch competitions where attendees allocate virtual tokens to startups, creating real-time leaderboards and prize distributions.
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
Event Organizers:
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your admin account
- You must provide accurate event information and startup details
- You are responsible for compliance with applicable laws in your jurisdiction
- You must obtain necessary consents from voters and participants
- You agree not to use the platform for fraudulent or illegal purposes
Voters:
- You may only vote once per event
- You must provide accurate registration information
- You agree not to manipulate or attempt to circumvent voting restrictions
4. Payment and Pricing
- Pricing is per event based on the selected tier (Starter, Lite, Pro, Enterprise)
- Payment is required before event activation
- All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in your contract
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
- Taxes may apply based on your location
5. Intellectual Property
Our IP: PitchBattle, its logo, design, and underlying technology are owned by Bridgepoint Ventures. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works.
Your Content: You retain ownership of event branding, startup information, and logos you upload. You grant us a license to use this content to provide the service.
6. Data Ownership and Export
- Event organizers own all voter data collected during their events
- You may export your data at any time via the admin dashboard
- We retain the right to use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics and improvements
7. Service Availability and Support
- We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- Support response times vary by pricing tier
- We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice
- Critical security updates may be applied immediately
8. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- Use the platform for illegal activities or fraud
- Attempt to bypass security measures or voter restrictions
- Reverse engineer or copy our technology
- Use automated bots or scripts to manipulate voting
- Harass, abuse, or spam other users
- Upload malicious code or viruses
9. Limitation of Liability
PitchBattle is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately for violations of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
11. Modifications to Service and Terms
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time. We will notify you of material changes to these terms at least 30 days in advance.
